It'd been a three days since she'd seen Neal, but the short lunch date hadn't been what she'd had in mind - not because of choice, but entirely because of classes, other plans, and the huge, terrifying monster that was trying to kill Luke that she'd run into yesterday. They'd texted off and on, but maybe it's the whole giant monster thing that's got her spooked. It's why she sends a different text this morning, more direct than the ones before.
